Join the Arise Self-Defense Club for a 4-part empowering journey designed to build confidence, safety, and strength from the inside out. Each class blends movement, mindfulness, and practical Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) techniques with supportive group discussion and self-reflection.
Expect connection, skill-building, and a brave space to grow together. Whether you're totally new or building on what you know, you’ll leave feeling more grounded, confident, and in charge of your safety.
Dates: 4-part series – Mondays, April 14 to May 5
Time: 7:30–8:30 pm
Location: The Space at Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver, BC.Who It's For: Women and teens (ages 13+). Beginner-friendly, no experience necessary.
What to Bring: Comfortable clothes, water bottle, and an open mind.
Safety Info: Waiver will be emailed upon registration. We’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive space for all participants.

Your new Friday night ritual. The Arise Self-Defense Club offers a weekly opportunity to recharge, connect, and train in an empowering environment. These 75-minute classes blend Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu-based self-defense techniques with mindfulness, movement, and group conversation.
Come every week, or drop in when you can. You’ll leave feeling stronger, safer, and more confident in your body and voice.
We'll be following a 10-week class cycle, so over time you'll get to revisit techniques and build your muscle memory.
Starting: Friday, April 25 (ongoing weekly on Fridays)
Time: 7:00–8:15 pm
Location: Vancouver MindBody Centre, 6682 Main St, Vancouver, BC.Who It's For: Women and teens (ages 13+). Beginner-friendly, no experience required!

Once a month, make time for you. These longer 90-minute sessions provide space to dive deeper into empowerment self-defense. You’ll train in BJJ techniques, connect through guided discussions, and strengthen your mental, emotional, and physical resilience.
Perfect for both newcomers and returning students who want to keep their skills fresh in a supportive and powerful space.
Our female-led and focused classes are designed to provide a range of physical, verbal, and emotional self-defense techniques within a supportive and empowering environment.
